Child labour issues addressed later

Sheazie knocked off the Voiceover for the semi-almost-final-dang-near version of the entire Jamaica script in less than 90 minutes. Such a pro. I'm a little biased, but seriously. Plus, Laura takes no prisoners.

Thanks to Wayne of MidCan for the facilities and Ben for the buttons.
Photo revised due to creative differences which don't stand in the way of a good time, in my book.

Jamaica's in the can (justabout)

I am rendering "SRWT Episode 2 Jamaica" in its semi-final 22:00 form.

I can hardly wait to jump into Kenya !!

Even Later

I'm rendering on the other machine...

later the same morning...

More of the same... slightly better idea where I am...

How I really spent my time in Amsterdam

I had a nice bike, so in a way i was dangerous. A few minutes of riding and I travelled miles and miles. Good, when you know where you're going, bad when you don't...

Bobby Starr

My old pal Bobby Starr is immortalized in a bust in Amsterdam. I can't recall the actual guy's name. My bad.

Home

Got home, took the bus, crashed hard.

So, now the OTHER plane is broken

From Minneapolis, we loaded on a NorthWest Canadair business jet, only to find out that the starter for one of the engines was busted. No takeoff, no AC until it's fixed. Ultimately they kicked us off the bird to wait. Then they fixed it,(kinda), ok, back on the plane. NOW the tractor that was supposed to back us out of the gate, is broken and it'll be 10 non-AC minutes until another one will arrive. THEN we took off without an APU,(auxilliary power unit) so it was crazy hot until we were at altitude. Good thing I became acclimatized in Egypt. Is there a conspiracy involving some competing kids music travel show?

The plane is fixed now ?

Everyone on this bus has been delayed overnight, and they are ORNERY. Am i the only one who has to work when we get home >>

I could get used to this

Another spot with 360Degrees of fascinating views. Plus cheap beer, and great soup.

Another look at the Neutraal

The Neutraal looks like it was designed by M.C. Escher.

Whirlwind Tour

A quick trip in to the city. Quick is right. With a shuttle to the airport, purchasing tix and riding the train, I was downtown outside the Centraal Station in 35 minutes.

Clarity

I'm on what i think is Soft Temple's Free Wireless router. It occurs to me that i am only presuming this. It has "Free Internet" as its SSID. Thanks to whoever provided the opportunity to drive the office back home a little nutty. Anyhow, i'm outie. Soup. I must have soup.
UPDATE: The router, is NOT theirs, and they don't know who owns it. Anyhoo- thanks ! Whoever you are.

Yay it took a picture

i should gps these things

Maybe because i was expecting to be home tonight....

I never noticed until today that Amsterdam is full of beautiful women. Too bad i'm too shy to take their picture..

Free is better

It has been noted in this space that we routinely spent US$30 per day for internet while on the road. It seems like complete madness as i sit in front of the Vandaag, swilling Amstel while opeating on the free internet from the coffeeshop across the street.

Cost Effective

Let's see.

Beers downtown - 500ml 1.25 Euro,
Beers in hotel 384Ml -6 euro,

Roundtrip train ticket downtown, 6 euro.

Internet at Hotel: 5euro for 15 minutes
Internet at Coffeeshop: Free 48Mbps wireless.

Amsterdam- Priceless.

I'm heading back downtown to Amsterdam

You saw my hotel... do you blame me ?

Honest, I didn't break the plane !!

The NW DC10 is broken. Come back tomorrow.
KLM is putting us up in a hotel in the middle of nowhere.
It looks like a set from a thriller.

Staff are "Stepford" model.

Farewell Amsterdam

Catching the train in 15 minutes. Gotta GO !

Resident of Amsterdam

Sadly

Sadly, this was taken before it rained.

The view out my window

Pretty Amsterdam-ey

They speak my language

Though i rode my bike for most of a day before i caught on to the direction you should travel down canals...

On the tram

If i hadn't got distracted, and given the bike back when i had planned to, i wouldn't have gotten caught in the rain. At least i got to ride the tram.

Good morning

Sometimes "Blogger" makes me crazy.

Thanks to the Neutraal !!

Big shout-outs to Regani, and the gang at the Neutraal.

Burnin' Daylight

My last day in Amsterdam. I better get to it. I have to pack, return my bike, walk back here, Ride the train to Shiphol, and FLY FLY FLY !!

Sunday Morning

Moses was out of stock at 9AM Sunday. Very apologetic.

Streets to myself

Again tonight...world cup action. The streets are empty. It's heaven. I'm getting agrophobia fast.

Sunday notwithstanding

I have learned to stay off the street at rush hour. The traffic in the bike lane doesn't appreciate gawkers. Especially in the outlying areas, away from the coffeeshops and red light district. Go like hell or get out of the way. Or hide in an internet cafe...

Old and New

As illustrated by photo.
What photo ?

Damn internet connections. Text only for now, tune in later...
Hotel hub works at night, maybe...

History freak has overload in 800 year old city

This place is giving me EYE diabetes. Eye candy everywhere. Maritime boy living on prairie sees boat, collapses with happiness. Camera wearing out. Duck, not so.
