You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone...

Had a taste of Montreal's pain this morning... woke up to a power outtage.

No coffee, no computers, no tv, phone batteries flat, no furnace, driving snowstorm outside, too lazy to dig out the battery radio... fortunately, it was just for a few hours.

The more things change ...

Sometimes I miss the good old days,
when he just sat on the book I was reading.

Note to Wardrobe Dept.

I think we may have been missing the bus on a crew jersey design for our beloved DOP, seen here with his former co-host, Batman.

Attention Agent Denise ... the courier is enroute, over.

Danger Girl

We put the host in harm's way out of love, really ! We hardly ever (always) make her do stuff we wouldn't or couldn't do ourselves. Bravest 13 year old TV host on the planet, i bet.

The itinerary is evolving

It's probably best if you just check back here regularly,
if we find an internet connection, you'll feel like you're in the backseat with the crew.

Do we bring too much stuff ?

When the SRWT crew travels,
we travel heavy.

Our itinerary in Costa Rica includes my birthday and New Year's Eve in-country.
We'll tour .Braulio Carillo National Park and a town called Manuel Antonio, which is reputed to have the nicest beach in the country.

I spoke too soon...

I hit 22 minutes, but the Producer says it needs to be up-paced... she's right, but it's so hard to cut up your "children" ... at least i'll use some of the B roll that was otherwise idle, and Shea will get the chance to popularize poi. Stay tuned for an even more rockem sockem episode in the days to come...

The Best is the First

Episode 5 Hawaii-Pearl of Polynesia is pretty well "in-the-can".
It's the first episode that has resisted bloat, and came in at 21:50.
Whoo-hoo !! There's still some to cut out, but it's insanely close.
(PS, Best Show Yet)

Thanks to all those whose support, moral and otherwise, makes it all happen.

Bring on EGYPT !!

Quit growing up so fast !!

If Shea keeps goin' the way she's goin'
it won't be a kids' show much longer.

On the upside, Sharon's been baking...

There are advantages to working at home, but the proximity sometimes agitates the cook.

Apparently, I'm not the only one who is anxiously anticipating the next road trip.

The anticipation is building

The next SRWT destination has been settled, Costa Rica !!

Since their independence from Spain in 1821*, this jewel of Central America has been quietly waiting for exploitation by northern foreigners... no wait, I mean, quietly waiting for the publicity which this unspoiled paradise, so richly deserves...

I don't know where we're going

But I'm sure it'll be a great show when we get there.

You haven't been posting EITHER...

Hawaii looks spectacular, and our footage of Mixjah in their natural habitat is outstanding. Apparently all our pals in Hilo got through the recent earthquake in one piece... strange how we go to Kenya, some guy gets squashed by an elephant, Egypt gets a border skirmish, Hawaii, earthquake...there's the stingray issue with Steve Irwin which will echo back in the NZ episode... what's next for poor Jamaica ? You can see this video on YouTube here once there, you can search for "MIXJAH" and see our two great clips, and the other couple of live but kinda sad ones....
