Not Quite Life Size

Some wildlife in Kenya is missed less than the others. This beetle is actually a little bigger than it appears in this shot. The crew thought it was dead until it savagely attacked, revealing hidden wings and ferocious noise ability, scattering us squealing like little girls.

Is this one too obvious ?

Good thing Midcan needs the HDV player for dailies on Saturday.

I'd hate to let the Premium Cocktails down in our crusade to take the Winnipeg Press Club League Tournament.

See the Premium Cocktails Blog |here|

Not memory foam

I keep waking up with my face on the keyboard.
Digitizing is 40 minutes of setup, and 20 minutes of waiting.

Not a good ratio in the 2AM to 7AM period.

Maybe I should contact the Compaq people for endorsement loot, HP recently paid $200K to get their equipment used in a Jessica Simpson music video.

Back to Kenya

Just to keep it interesting, Midcan's HDV player is only available from 18:00 to 8:00 each night. At least I'll have every day off for the foreseeable future.

It was hella-fun

This post is not SRWT related, but as predicted, the One Life reunion concert was crazy fun.
Todd hasn't played in front of anyone for going on 2 decades.
The band had a great time, and the crowd ate it up. Strangely, some in the crowd looked like they couldn't have heard the band before, except maybe in-utero.
I suggested getting Shea to interview the band, and we could use it on a Time Travel episode...

I'll upload a tune to YouTube, when i get a chance. I'll put the link |here|

Non commercial plugger

This post looks kinda commercial, but this event is going to be a blast, and i'd advise all my subscribers to attend. One Life was a reggae-ska-pop phenom that emerged from late '70s West End Winnipeg. They self-produced a single, back when not everyone could just record a record at home and burn CDs. Anyhow, with a 3 month tour of NYC and a Billboard Magazine "Picked to Click" it's a shame these guys didn't stay together and become superstars.

You might remember the radio airplay for "Watershine" and "Goin' Crazy" by Will Hodgson and Todd Brown respectively.

This reunion show is a VSOP. Be there.

All the hard drives are at Midcan

Can't edit.
Seems pretty weird after the push we've been on since Hawaii.
I guess i'll just sit here.

It's in Tony's hands now.

Unky Duck flips to Tony,
a couple of fancy moves and... it's a long pass to Milt !!

A bonus promo

The guys from TOK obviously "get it".

Episode 5 Hawaii

We had a lot of fun in Hawaii and it shows.

Episode 4 Egypt

Egypt, what more can you say about Egypt ?

Episode 3 Kenya Promo

In keeping with the "always over deliver" ratonale, we present a series of episodic promos...

Can she surf ? Let's just see....

Shea is a natural athlete. Thanks to Sunset Suzy for the lesson. Thanks also to Dick Dale, just for being you. Make sure you see all 1:45 of this clip, it stops in the middle, for some reason, every now and then.

Restating the obvious

By way of explanation... we were an odd number on this trip, so to economize, I found myself bunking with Marnie and Carrie. They had a good laugh over my "smoking jacket" and "Unky Hef" was born.

Too young to drive ... but....

Shea Kelli (age 13) pilots an ultralight aircraft over the North shore of Oahu for an upcoming episode of Shea's Rockin' World Tour.

Teaser

The places we've been...

The places we've been and the things we've seen... my, my, my.

Out on the Serengeti plain of Kenya, we waited at this airstrip for our little plane to take us back to Nairobi. Our minder Paul wouldn't start the 6 hour drive back before we got on the plane.

Lions in the grass again...

Quite enjoying making promos for SRWT

Special Africa Fan Preview

Digitizomania

The illustrations are in keeping with the Safari atmosphere over here at hindquarters... the postcards are still trickling in... JoAnne got one from Mexico (January) the other day...

Busy capturing footage from Kenya, we lose the hardware to a movie on Tuesday AM, so it's now or ?.
Africa was only a month or so ago, but every frame looks new.
The kids are gonna love this one.
I know i'm lovin' it. TM

What long weekend ?

Office visit

I dropped into Picante's office today to pick up the Kenya cuesheets. It seems that i haven't been here in 5 weeks. Oops.

Looked at a bunch of slides, had some cocktails.

Somebody checked the door after we shut the place. Now the chix are paranoid. I don't blame them.

No camera. No photos.
Did i mention that i left without the cuesheets ? Duh.

Post every day to hold onto your readers

I was reading some advice to bloggers, that suggested posting everyday whether you have something or not... the most popular blog on the planet is a chinese celeb who actually posts to her blog checkitout

That being said... here's a great shot of "Hef's girls" in Kona, that has surfaced recently. Note Marnie's "I am having fun" pose. Watch for it. A sure sign of fun being had.

Got a nice comment from Kahea on "Mixjah"

Historic

Note the "Farmer Tan" look-alike. Shades from fish-belly white to chestnut brown.
Last known shot of my right front tooth. I should photoshop a chicklet flying out.

When these guys make it big- and i'm sure they will, we will cherish these photos all the more.
