I bought it for what it doesn't have
Perfect temporary watch bought from a Costa Rican street vendor. The engraving says " Altimeter Chronometer Compass Alarm Thermometer Meteo.
The watch has none of these things. Whatever Mateo is.
Some kind of weapon, perhaps.

in Romanian 'meteo' means weather, which apparently it doesn't record either?
it looks good, though
nice face/no brains, sounds like the makings of a holiday romance -- fun while it lasts but doomed to fail once you're back on home turf
